Understanding the Multi-Tab “Details” Excel Report
If you export the Details Excel file, the workbook is organized into specialized accounting tabs:
- Summary: Displays total payouts by platform, currency conversions, incoming/outgoing splits, and net total.
- Masters: Track-by-track breakdown of master streaming earnings, including transaction month and account credit date.
- Publishing Rights: Itemizes copyright and publishing mechanical/performance revenues (if administered through ONErpm).
- Shares In & Share Out: Clear accounting ledger showing automated splits received from or paid out to external collaborators/labels.
Troubleshooting & Pro-Tips
- Reference Month vs. Accounted Date: The Reference Month indicates when the music was actually streamed/purchased, while the Accounted Date shows when ONErpm credited the funds to your balance.
- Auditing Label Splits: If you manage third-party distribution or sub-labels, always use the Shares In & Share Out tab in the Details report to verify net profit split distributions before initiating payouts.
- Large Historical Requests: If requesting more than 12–24 months of historical reports for auditing or advance evaluation, generate each month’s Details Excel report individually to ensure no line items are compressed.
